DISPLAY AT COOK’S GARDENS. I FINE BAND PROGRAMME. To morrow night (election night) j the Queen Alexandra Band, under . Lieut. Geo. Buckley, will give a popu- ( lar band concert in lhe Cook’s 1 Gardens, commencing at 7.30. Special • lighting arrangements have been made, : and the gardens will be brilliantly illuminated. The band programme will include the latest selections, amongst I them being the special items which the Argyle-Sutherland Band, may be ing on their programme at the Dunedin | Exhibition. “The Lightning Switch” i and “Cavalry of the Clouds,” composed by Mr Rickclls, the conductor of tho Argyle-Sutherland Band may be particularly mentioned. The “Wanganui Chronicle” is to have erected a large board upon which all the election results will be posted as they come to hand. All interested in the elections—and who is not?-—can see the progress and final figures in comfort. The board will be erected in front of the enclosure seats and the band can be relied upon to present the bright entertaining programme for > which they are famous. A collection in aid of the band funds will be made.
