SHOOTING
WANGANUI DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB On Saturday last the above club fired its first shoot in the championship I series, there being a good attendance | present, and the weather being ideal. Some good scores were put on, namely by Captain H. Simmonds and Rifleman , E. King. Rifleman B. Shaw won Rifleman H. Hughes’ trophy for the highest i score. On Saturday next th© second competi-; tion will be fired, ranges 500 and 600 | yards.
