MARTON GOLF CLUB ( (From the “Chronicle’s” Special Correspondent.) Fine weather prevailed last Satur day, when the 1925 season was brought :to a cluse. A combined foursome was I played over 12 holes, which was won ■ by Air and Mrs S. A. Gover 58 (handi- . <-up 4), 54 nett. The ladies’ approach- ! ing and putting was won by Miss B. Gaisford, and the men’s by .Mr J. R. L. S anford. The best putting cards returned were:—Ladies’, .Miss Hewitt; men’s Mr Gover. Ellcson, of Sanson, has donated a trophy to exhibitors gaining most points m Berkshire pigs at the Alarton District A. and P. Association’s Show on February 24, 1926. Air S. Marr has donated a cash prize of guineas.for the best yearling by the draught stallion “Otto,” also two guineas for the best foal by “Otto.” BOWLING r l > . A team of Feilding bowlers visited Alarton during the week-end for a j friendly game with a local rink. Feild--1 ing was represented by E.
