FARMERS TO DEFY STRIKERS
GREAT EXCITEMENT IN THE TOWN The seamen’s strike Is dying hard in Queensland, where a Labour Government has failed to support law and order. Just now a crisis has developed at Bowen, where the steamer Port Hardy’s refrigerated cargo Is in danger. The strikers have declared that they will neither supply coal by steamer nor allow others to do it. Farmers have expressed determination to save their produce by coaling the steamer. Naturally great excitement prevails among the townspeople, who are awaiting developments.
