THE SERIOUS SIDE
(To the Editor). Sir, —I’m sure you’ll forgive mo fni (taking up your space, but when one ; can sec “two sides” to a thing, it is perhaps as well to try to got tho public to see it from the “serious” side, as there is n “serious” side, which more than off sets tho “comic” side. It may bo possible to bo such a “quick change” artist ns to bo able Io adopt the roles of “special correspondent from the “bottom.” “top.” and “middle” of Now Zealand, to be an “Economist” and to write “Camoral istic” articles, and. reully, Air Editor, it looks quite effective in print and would satisfy any fool who does no* soo through it. But when one knows “the dodges” of writing, or having a member to write, a “special correspondent” article, it is easy to write a “leader” and strengthen it therefrom. The knowledge, however, makes it lose anv influence it might have. and. thk? the public all-in-all, they are not fools’ —I am, etc., TRFGENNA Whnganui, November 1. 1925. 4
