In the Assembly, Mr. Harvey, Labour member, moved that the fixation ; of the salaries of members of Parliament be referred to the president of tho Arbitration Court. Tho Country Party supported tho motion, but it was strongly opposed by the Liberals. WEST AUSTRALIA TO FOLLOW. PERTH, Oct. 30. The Assembly carried a motion that the Parliamentary salary of £4OO a year was inadequate and should be raised immediately. A division was j taken on separate lines.
