FRENCH VERY ANXIOUS. ALL BLAME PLACED ON SARRAIL. PARIS, Oct. 29. The newspapers hro anxious regard ing the situation in Syria. The “Echo de Paris” says that AL Doumerguo has requested M. Painleve to do what is necessary to re-establish tranquility at any cost. A correspondent, of the same paper accuses General Sarrtul of pro-Turk-ish and anti-Arab leanings, land- upholding Turkish Freemasonry. “Le Figaro” and “Lo Matin,” criticise General Sarrail’s alleged failure lo supply information. “Le Matin” says that General Sarrail’s reports talk about the weather and the dearness of living with a postscript of two linos with regard to the gravest events. The paper declares that General Sarrtiil’s lack of balance is damaging the prestige of Franco ii. the world.
