SERIOUS POLITICS
(To the Editor) Sir, —At times politics seem funny; at other times scrioua This is one of the latter occasions for New Zealand. Knowing personally tho serious state of affairs in England, my view, from what I can pick up, is that on this occasion our past member is useless to Wanganui and only complicates the issue, not being a member of a party that is likely to count for anything in the next Parliament. Three parties in England led to tho dole, and all sorts of abuses, and even Labour got so sick of it they sent Mr Baldwin back with a huge majority. If Mr Veitch was loyal he would got out of the fight and not run the risk of a country run by Reds. —I am, etc., IMMIGRANT. Aramoho, October 28, 1925.
