It was finally resolved, on .ho motion of Mr. Jackson, seconded by Mr. iShout, that the minimum length of brown trout to be taken be dispensed with throughout the Society’s district during the coming season. It was moved by Mr. Wise and sec ended by Mr. Ashwell, that twelve deer licenses bo issued for the district in 1926, and that a fee of £1 Is be charged for each license. This was carried. Accounts amounting to £llO 16s were passed for payment. The secretary reported that in previous years the Government ha e..>. had liberated Atlantic salmon at Kakahi and Mananui. This year, however, it has seen fit to liberate further down the society’s territory. During the week 50,000 Atlantic Salmon fry had been liberated at Erua in a small stream which eventually found its .way into he Wanganui. Ho also repotted that another 50,000 would be liberated in the same stream on Mondi, v next. The total number of frv liber- - ed from the hatchery at Kakahi this season was 700,000.
