ILL-STARRED IRRIGATION SCHEME BIG LOSS TO SOUTH AUSTRALIA ADELAIDE, Oct. 29. The report of the Irrigation Commission in the irrigation areas along the Murray River and the Jervis reclamation scheme presented after two years’ delay shows that the undertaking involved the State in losses Approximating £1,000,000. It recommends the abandonment of certain areas and says that there was a complete lack of business acumen and foresight in opening up these areas.
