SENSATIONAL ACCIDENT

MOTOR GOES OVER BANK. SEVERAL PEOPLE INJURED. Oct. 28. A sensational motor accident occurred on the Hill Road near Motunau on Sunday. A picnic party left Hawarden for Motunau beach. Ono of Ihe cars was a large vehicle and (accommodated sixteen passengers. On Vulcan Hill it went over a bank and upset, the occupants being thrown here and there, and no fewer than twelve being injured. Other cars were used to convey the sufferers to Waikari Hospital. Messrs Hutton (dislocated shoulder). Barber (broken leg), and Low (broken ribs) were accommodated in the hospital but on Monday two of them went home find only one is now in the institution. The more slightly injured were suffering from bruises and shock.
