ALLEGED THEFT
THIRTY-THREE CHARGES. [Per Press Assorlation.l WELLINGTON, Off. 28. After nineteen remands. Frederic Emanuel Simrains. s» carpenter, was proceeded against on 33 charges of stealing £36 from employees of the Hutt County Council. It was alleged that Sirnmins, who was foreman, offered to rash cheques belonging to men under him. He cashed the cheques and decamped. leaving the men penniless. Accused pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial.
