GONVILLE CLUE VISITORS FROM BULLS. A most enjoyable day was spent on Monday, when a team from Bulls Club paid a visit to Gonville and after a very interesting ma eh defeated the local players by 17 sets to 13. Games com ; mcnced at 10 a.m. and continued until 15 p.m., rain preventing the last few sets < being finished. I The visitors were entertained at luncheon in town, and morning and afternoon tea was provided by the ladies of : the club. It is to bo hoped that this i match be made an annual one, as the meeting of outside teams in this way helps considerably to foster the game. The result of the day’s play* is as follows. AUSTRALIANS LN WELLINGTON EXHIBITION GAMES. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Oct. 27. In an exhibition match to-day, Anderson beat G. OUivier (New Zealand Singles champion) 6—4, 7 —5. The game wtas played in a hard court. Anderson generally was superior. 01livier led 5—3 in the second set, but was outplayed. Anderson also heat E. D. Andrews (Wellington provincial champion). In an exhibition, Anderson and N. Wilson (Wellington) beat OUivier and Andrews 6—4, 4—6. 6—o.
