BULLS SALE. GOOD ENTRIES. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston Norin, report as follows: At Bulls sale on Monday, October 19, there was a very fair entry of both sheep and cattle. Quotations: — Mixed sex hoggets, 29s to 31s 7d; fat and forward ewes, 27s 9d; fat ewes, 29s 9d to 35s Id; store cows, 44s to 50s; forward cows, £3 7s 6d to £4 10s; rough 2 year steers, £4 16s; rough 3-yr. steers, £5 Jss; yearling heifers, £2 3s 6d to £2 ss; light fat cows, £5 ,15s; fat cows, £7; weaner pigs, 18s. ASHHURST SALE. KEEN COMPETITION. Messrs Dalgety and Co. report as follows: At the Ashhurst sale on Wednesday, October 21, there was a small yarding of sheep and a good entry of cattle. Competition was keen and practically a total clearance was effected at the following prices:—Ewes with lambs, 44s 6d to 495; good wether hoggets, 325; springing cows, £4 7s 6d; spring ing heifers, £5, £5 17s Cd, £7; heifers in milk, £3 10s, £4 17s Cd to £5 15s; store cows, 495; forward cows, £3 ss, £3 9s Cd, £4 7s Cd, £4 .12s; light fat cows, £5 10s; fat P.A. heifers, to £lO ss; yearling heifers, 27s Cd, 40s to 54s Cd; small 2-year empty heifers, 565: yearling Jersey bulls, £5 ss; 2 and 3-yr. FEILDING SALE. SMALL ENTRY OF SHEEP, Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report at the Feilding stile on Friday October 23, there was a small entry of sheep and a very fair yarding of cattle.
