TARANAKI OIL
PROGRESS AT THE BORES. [Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Oct. 27 . The following report was issued by the Taraniaki Oil Fields, Ltd., to-day:— “Taratn bore, drilled to 3640 feet in shale, easing to 3562 feet. Two days fixing new drilling cable. ‘‘Moturoa bore, nice show of oil, but a small flow of water is maintained. Have decided to mud off gas, resume drilling and set a string of 8J inch casing in the first suitable formation encountered. ’ ’
