BIG LOSS IN SUGAR ENTERPRISE LABOUR RESPONSIBLE. BRISBANE. October 27. Owing to the waterside rotary dispute at Bowen, the Inkerman Sugar Mill is closing. The Farmers’ Association is petitioning the Government for relief. The attitude of the Government is considered inexplicable as half a mil lion sterling has been sunk in the Inkerman irrigation scehme. for which the majority of farmers in the district are heavily indebted.
