Beautiful and interesting as the whole river is, ■.he part fiom the Houseboat down to Pipiriki is the best of all. The great walls close in, rising sheer from the water’s edge. Surmounting them stately hills, whose tree-erowned erests rise to kiss the heavens and over all is spread a glorious mantle of vegetation. Buch wealth of foliage, such harmonious blending of colours, such magnificence is displayed. The picture is a perfect scenic masterpiece.
