ITALIANS DRAW THEIR KNIVES AUSTRALIAN KILLED IN A MELEE ANOTHER SERIOUSLY INJURED HOBART, Oct. 27. Following on an altercation with a number of Italians, William Quin, John Davis and ft. number of other young men visited an Italian’s home at Linda, and broke the windows. A melee followed in which Quinn was fatally stabbed, and Davis seriously wounded, while several other Australians suffered minor injuries. One Italian has been arrested. The brtiwl was the outcome of racial feeling which has been simmering for a long time, local inhabitants resenting | fhe employment of Italians in the [North Lyell mine.
