Representatives of the PalestineArab Congress have received a wireless message from Jerusalem stating that because a Druse raiding party attacked and burned a police post at Damascus the French bombarded the city from the citadel for fifty hours. The greater part of the city was demolished and thousands rendered homeless. Thousands of innocent persons perished. The French armed Armenian immigrants, who carried out fearful depredation. The British Consulate was demolished. The French are suppressing news. Fugitives allege that 25,000 women perished. REPORT NOT CORROBORATED TORTION OF CITY BOMBARDED. Received Oct. 27. 8.5 p.m. LONDON. Oct. 26. flin “Daily Express” states that the Foreign Office has not received corroboration of the above report. It is understood that some rebels entered portion of the city and were shelled out by the French. The British Consulate is unharmed.
