WANGANUI DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB SEASON OPENED ON LABOUR DAY On Labour Day the Wanganui Defence Rifle Club opened tho 1925-26 season with the usual president v. vicepresident miatch, which was won by the president’s team. There was a good c.-(.tendance. The weather was fine, but overca?r. After the opening match there was a match for three exNew Zealand champions—W. H. Churton, C. Kruse and W. Rensington —at th** same ranges as the opening match and ex-champion Churton registered the fine score of 63 out of a I possible 70, equal to his younger com- ' rades, a very creditable performance, | seeing he has turned 78 years of age. i Tho others were well up.
