WESLEY CLUB SEASON’S TROPHIES PRESENTED.
On Tuesday evening last a very successful social was held in the Wanganui Y.M.C.A. Hall —a combined effort by the Wesley Young Men’s and Young Ladies’ Hockey Clubs. A large and efficient orchestra, under the leadership of Mrs Johnston, rendered selections during the evening as well as playing for the grand march. There were over 120 present, and everyone spent a very enjoyable time. A notable feature of the evening was the presentation of trophies won by club members during the season. They were as follows: Young Ladies’ Club.—Best all-round player: Alias A. Dover, manicure set. Young Men’s Club.—Best all-round player, W. Thrush, rose bowl; most improved playr in “A” team, 8. Stewart, medal; most improved player in “B” team, G. Butler, medal; best allround player in “A” team, A. Crossley, silver badge; best all-round player in “B” team, E. Westbrook, silver badge. Air Simpson was the selector fer the young ladies, and Air A. Spurdie for the young men.
Air A. L. Griffiths proved a very efficient Af.C. and deserves full credit for tho splendid way he kept the social in full swing.
