CYCLONE AND EARTHQUAKE.
PERSIAN GULF VISITATION. 7000 PEOPLE REPORTED KILLED. DELHI, Oct. 25. A telegram from Karachi, dated October 25. says that the “Daily Gazette” from Bushhire states that an earthquake accompanied the Gulf cyclone, in which it is estimated that 7000 people perished and the pearl-fish-ing fleet was practically wiped out. Over 200 boats were sunk. Naval ships in the Gulf lost two of their boats, one of which was subsequently recovered. The Tamb HenfHam islands suffered seriously, and several acres of date palms at Basra were laid bare.
