FETE OF NATIONS
DRILL HALL ON THURSDAY NEXT Old residents will doubtless be interested in the booklet relating to the forthcoming Fete of Nations. Every householder ere this should be in receipt of one. It behoves everyone to study it and roll up in force at the Drill Hall on Thursday, Friday and Saturday next. This fete certainly promises to be unique so far as bazaars go, as in addition to the many stalls laden with every variety of article, from dainty needle-work to the luscious ice cream, from the produce of the farm to the ever useful article of furniture, a portion of the hall has been set apart for dancing. It is. intended to erect a marquee, where cinematograph exhibitions will be given. Interspersed with the cinema will be half-hourly entertainments by leading entertainers. A dainty tea room will be featured, where all and sundry may obtain refreshments, luncheon, afternoon tea or supper. The promoters trust that everyone will make an effort to attend this bazaar at least once during its run, as one of its objects, in addition to augmenting the church funds, is to promote good-fellowship amongst all.
