CLEARING LETTER BOXES
(To the Editor). Sir, —In this morning’s “Chronicle,” “Migrans” advocates clearing rural letter boxes on Sunday evenings. Notice Tyhom he claims this will benefit: the church-going people who write their letters on Sunday and then post them on their way to church. The letter strikes me as both selfish and inconsistent. “Migrans” takes no thought of whom he makes work on Sunday clearing the pillar-boxes. Other people can be robbed of their Sabbath rest and prevented going to church in the evening for “Migrans” convenience, while ho is “fondly thinking’ ’ and dreaming of “many moons,” and such balderdash. Apparently “Migrans” sees no inconsistency in “clearing up his correspondence” on Sunday, posting it on Sunday night, demanding that someone else bo robbed of the Sabbath to clear it away, and trying to put> a good finish to a bad day’s work by going to church.—l am, etc., CONSISTENT.
