GREAT EVENT
WAITING FOR THE KING. The King’s arrival in Scotland is always a great event, and many people, young and old, are on the look-out for him, generally with more satisfactory results than in the stdry told of King Edward, who was out for a walk, and presently encountered a small boy, with whom he fell- into conversation. 41 What are you wmiting about here for?” asked the King. “Well,” explained the boy, “I came here to get a sight of the King, but I’ve been waiting two hours and he hasn’t come, and I’ll be hanged if I wait any more.” 44 Nor will I,” said King Edward, walking off.
