MORE CHARGES FROM MR. CORRIGAN

(To the Editor) Sir, —In your issue of the “Chronicle” this morning, under the above heading, you state that the statements made by Air Corrigan have been refuted. I fail to see that they are refuted by Mr Witty’s Press Association message; in fact, they have been endorsed by him. Air Witty admits both Air Isitt and himself were share-holders in the company, and he also admits that the Hon. H. F. Wigram, one of the largest shareholders in the company, gave back a donation of £lO,OOO to the Government. It would be interesting for the electors of New Zealand, and Patea in particular, to know who benefited by Air Wigram’s donation. It must be admitted by any unbiased mind that the facts as stated by Air Witty prove that a great waste of public money went on in connection with the business. Perhaps, Air Editor, you may be able in your columns to enlighten the readers of your paper, why the Government refused in the first place to purchase the aerodrome, but after the general election had been held, all at once recognised it was in the best interests of the country it should be purchased.—l am, etc., PATEA ELECTOR.
