NELSON [Per Press Association.] NELSON, Oct. 22. Mr A. Gilbert, standing as straight out supporter of tho Government under the leadership of Mr Coates, addressed a good attendance of electors at the Theatre Royal. The candidate said a strong Government was needed at the present time. He stressed the humanitarian legislation of the Government and the need for increased agricultural production. At the candidate’s request, hi' was accorded a vote of thanks only, which was carried by acclamation.
