Gerald Marcuse, whose sigt call is 2NM, actuated Surrey, England, who carried on long conversations by wireless telephone with the U.S.S. battleship, .Seattle, when the vessel was Ijflng in 'Wellington Harbour. The conversations were carried, on in daylight. Marcuse maintained good communication on a wave length of 45 metres. Marcuse spoke to the commander of the Seattle and sent news to New Zealand. He heard quite distinctly. Buenos Aires also heard the conversation.
