TARANAKI OILFIELDS
THE LATEST REPORT [Per Presa Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Oct. 22. Taranaki Oilfields issued the following report to-day: Gas blowing free,, carrying a little oil and a small quantity of water, which, however, is undoubtedly a diminishing quantity day by day. There is reason to expect that the water will be exhausted soon, in which case drilling for oil will be resumed. If not, it will be necessary to set another strong casing at a somewhat greater depth.
