L The Minister of the Interior, moving v that the Senate concur in the Assembly message requesting the Senate not to insist on the amendment, intimated j that he would not ask the Assembly to | pass the Bill without this clause. 1 General Hertzog declared that if the Senate flings down the gauntlet there ■ is only one thing to do. Nevertheless, C lhe Minister’s motion was rejected bv J 13 to 12.
