RAETIHI.
FALL OF SNOW (From Our Own Correspondent.) The weather during the past week has been particularly wet. After the heavy rain on Thursday snow fell on Friday. This, however, did not remain long, on account of the wetness of the ground. Heavy rain again fell on Friday, and a much heavier fall came down in the evening. On Saturday morning the whole country was covered with snow to a depth of several inches, and it remained during most of the day. NEW COUNCILLOR Mr R. Sigley was the only nomination to fill the vacancy on the Raetihi Borough Council caused by the resignation of Mr R. R. Dawson. He was therefore elected unopposed.
