NATIONAL ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 24. At the annual meeting of the executive of the National Rifle Association, the president (Mr H. T. Marshall) presiding, it was stated that the same assistance as last year would be given by the Government. In was decided to hold ihe championship meeting in March next, opening on the 16th. This means that the meeing will follow immediately on the army meeting which finishes on March 12. 1 It. was derided to keep cntiance fees nt last year’s figure : nd £2O w’as added to il.i prizes in service matches, which will remain as before. The only change made in the remainder of the programme was that in the Dominion match. 900 yards was substituted for 1000 yards. ‘ Ammunition will be issued free to all competitors, except that, in practice matches, mark 6 or mark 7 ammunition may be used and either a short or long rifle. Air Marshall was re-elected chairman of the executive and Colonel Creswell, vice-chairman.
