ANOTHER WIRELESS RECORD
(Per Press Association.) ASHBURTON. July 23. Wil ford M. Dawson, of 3AL, Ashburton, yesterday eclipsed his previous remarkable records on low power short wave wireless by working amateur station 82 LA, Mr. Mover’s station at Wickford, Essex. England, with a power input of 2.5 watts on a wave length of 35 metres, approximately equivalent to that consumed in a pocket electric torch. The test took place at a most disadvantageous time after the sun had risen in England. Contact was at 4.27 p.m., equivalent to 7 a.m. in England.
