The unique distinction of being the first and only furrier in New Zealand to be admitted a member of the British Fur Trade Alliance has been conferred on Madame Menere, 127 Cashel Street, Christchurch. There is only one member of the Alliance in Australasia, viz., a Melbourne firm. The distinction is only conferred on furriers of the highest standing and with unimpeachable credentials.
