Regiment has written to state that arrangments will be made for C. Gibbons, E. Finnimore, and F. Blood to return to Marton by the early train on Saturday July 25, to take part in the Finnimore Cup match against Tokorangi. Air L. Fromont lias been selected to referee in the Maori Challenge Match at AVanganui on AVednesday between Rangitikei and Wanganui, and not Mr Richardson as previously stated. A meeting of the managment committee of the Rangitikei Rugby Sub-Union will bo held in the Jockey Club’s rooms on Tuesday evening next.

Alarton Junction schoolboys played Huntley School at Alarton Junction on Wednesday and won by a large margin. The following team will represent Alarton against Tokorangi on Saturday: AlcMillan, Hansen, Rooney, Gronn, Preston, Stevens. Perrin, Chadwick, Finnimore, Hall, McGregor, Reid, Thomas, Porter, Gibbons.

A benefit match will be played on the Haleombe ground on Saturday between the married and single players of the Haleombe Football Club for the purpose of assisting a player injured whilst playing football this season. JUNIOR SHIELD. POSITION OF TEAMS.

The annual conference of the New* Zealand Auto Cycle Union will be held in Auckland on Saturday, August 1, at 9 a.m. Air Ken Fowler will represent the Rangitikei Alotor Club and Messrs E. C.
