ABSOLUTE CONTROL
DAIRY PRODUCE BOARD’S DECISION TO OPERATE FROM AUGUST 1 MESSRS MOTION AND IORNS GOING HOME. The Dairy Produce Control Board has decided to establish absolute control of dairy produce for export from August 1 next. Messrs Motion and lorns are to be the board’s representatives in London. (Per Press Association) WELLINGTON. Fob. 26. At a meeting of the New Zealand Dairy Produce Control Board it was decided that the board should establish absolute control of dairy produce for export as from August 1. 1925, and that tin application for the necessary Order-i n-Council should be made forthwith. Under this form of control produce would he marketed in London through the usual channels, but would be under the control of the board. It was further agreed that in working up to absolute control the board should, during the 1925-26 season, ‘co-operate with British importing houses as far as possible on a voluntary basis in Ihe regulating of shipments, the distribution of produce, stimulating publicity, and arranging for the collecting of information, and generally promoting co-operative effort. It has been arranged that Messrs W. C. Motion and W. A. lorns will be the board's representatives on the London i agency. It is anticipated that they will leave for London in July or August next.
