BRITISH GOVERNMENT SCHEME AMOUNT OF LOANS INCREASED Received February 25. 8.15 p.m. (Reuter - ). LONDON. Feb. 24. The House of Commons agreed to a financial resolution increasing the amount of loans under the Trade Facilities Act. for which Government guarantees may be given, from sixtyfive millions to seventy millions. Mr Hilton Young suggested the appointment of a sub committee endowed with initiative to work in conjunction with the Colonial Office and deal with the Dominions’ development schemes. Tn this connection some disappointment prevailed. Nir Guinness pointed out that the Colonial Office had a representative on the Dominions committee. He thought the disappointing results were due to the fact that the facilities were not fully appreciated in the Dominions, from whom it was hoped applications wouid come.
