PERCIVALr—AYSHFORD. i On Wednesday of last week, the 'wedding took place, at Christ Church, of Miss Reta Maude Ayshford, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Ayshford, of Glasgow Street, to Mr. Reginald Fred Percival, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Percival, Campbell Street, Wanganui. The Rev. C. Meredith Ouicilated and the wedding music was supplied by Miss Ramsbottom. The : bride, who was given away by her ; father, wore a beautiful gown of ! white chinchella satin, trimmed with i pearls, and lace daintily draped from the left shoulder. Her beautiful veil had been lent by a friend, and she carried a bouquet of Christmas lilies and maidenhair fern. The ! bridesmaids, Misses Ivy and Doris I Ayshford, sisters of the bride, wore | dainty frocks of accordion-pleated georgette of lavender and pink respectively. They wore veils to match and carried similar toned bouquets of sweet-peas. Mr E. C. (Bob) Morgan, cousin of the bridegroom acted as best man, and Mr. A. N. Ayshford, brother of the bride, was groomsman. The reception was held at the R.S.A. Hall, w-here about sixty guests were entertained Mrs. Ayshford wore a becoming gown of navy taffeta and crepe-de-chine, and a smart black hat, relieved with touches of cerise. She carried a bouquet of red carnations and maiden-hair fern. Mr. and Mrs. Percival left in the afternoon for the North, en route for their home in Auckland. Th c brides attendants were Misses M. C. McGuire and Hazel McGuire. Mr. and Mrs. Seeks left for Rotorua, where a tew days arc to be spent prior to leaving for England and America. HOLDA WAY—COLLINSON. Ih e wedding took place on Thursday at the Aramoho Anglican Church, of Irene Cardigan Collinson, of Surrey, England, to Kenneth James Holdaway, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J H. Holdaway, “Riversdale,” Wanganui. The bride, who was given away by Mr. F. A. Newtek, wore a very dainty frock of white georgette, trimmed with white satin ribbon. She wore the usual veil and orange-blossom s and carried a beautiful bouquet. Miss Hilda Newrick was maid-of-honour. Her frock was of cream silk, and she wore with it a mauve and pink hat. Little Alice Holdaway was also an attendant, her frock being of pink crepe-de-chine. Mr. L. Durie was best man. Rev Tye was the officiating minister. After the ceremony a reception was held at “Rivers-; dale,” the residence of the bride-i groom’s parents, where Mrs. Holdaway received her guests in a hand- ■ some frock of black crepe-de-chine ( embroidered in white. J. Skitton, Mangatainoka, was married to William Henry, eldest son of Mr. ami Mrs. D. Loader, Wanganui. Rev. F. E. Fleury was the officiating minister. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a becoming frock of ivory crepe-dc-chine veiled with radium lace; her veil was of embroidery silk n.;t caught with sprays of orangeblocsom, and she carried a bouquet of jxile pink and white sweat-peas. Miss Amy Skilton was maid-of-honour anil her frock was of pale pink moraeain with a ; black hat; Miss Ivy Loader was also in attendance, her frock being similar. ■ Both maids carried bouquets of pink! sweet peas and maidenhair fern. Mr. A. Loader was best man. Mr. M. C. ( Skilton, groomsman, and Mrs. J. Bom-i bach presided at the organ. I STONE—DOWLING A wedding of interest to Wanganui took place on Wednesday of this week at St. Mary’s Church, when Miss Leonora (Nora) Dowling, only daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. Dowling, was married to Mr. John Stone, only sou of Mr. and Mrs. H. Stone, of Wellington, and late of Wanganui. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Father Dowling, assisted by Rev. Father Maurieet Dowling, the bridegroom being attended by Mr. L. Durie as best man. and Mr. Melody, groomsman. 'The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty frock of cream satin with overskirt of silver lace and tissue. She wore a beautiful veil and orangeblossom and carried a bouquet of roses and carnations. Miss Tui Herd was maid-of-honour, and wore n frock of heliotrope satin moroeain with touches of salmon pink, a salmon hat, and carried a bouquet of heliotrope flowers. Miss Jean Stone was bridesmaid, her frock being of salmon satin eharmante made in early Victorinn style. Her hat was to match, trimmed with bronze, and she carried a bouquet to tone with her frock. Thc reception was held at Harman’s Hall which hi I been lent for the occasion. The beautiful decorations, which were much admired, had been done by Mr. Provost. The bridegroom’s mother, Madame Briggs, wore a handsome frock of grey and heliotrope moroeain and a black hat. Amongst the guests present were Mr. and Mrs. W. Herd, Mr. and Mrs. Randell, Mrs. Hazelwood, Mrs. Durie, Mrs. C. Laird, Mr. and Mrs. McDonald, Mrs. Johnson, Mass Low, Mr. P. Swan. Later in the day Mr. and Mrs. Stone left for the honeymoon, Mrs. Stone travelling in a grey moroeain frock with ha/to match, and a handstrtie fur coat, the gift of thc bridegroom.
