ORNAMENTAL FRUITING EVERGREEN PLANTS. A few square yards given to fruiting shrubs will provide fruit, shelter, and ornament. Every garden that has shelter should plant a lemon tree. Secure large well-grown three to four year old plants costing from 5/- to 7/6. In a position away from frosts plant a purple Quava or yellow, both varieties highly recommended. Strong plants bear the first year 2/- to 2/6 each. For a damp exposed position, Cranberrys are highly recommended. They also make splendid fruiting hedge. Plants cost 1/6 to 2/- each, 15/- dozen.
