LATE HON. GILBERT CARSON
TRIBUTE BY LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. (By Telegraph). [From Our Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON, June 27. In the Legislative Council to-day, a motion was passed expressing the Council’s sense of the distinguished services of the late Hon. Gilbert Carson, and of sympathy with his relatives. Sir Francis Bell moved the motion, and the Hon. Geddis, in seconding it, described the deceased Councillor as a man of strict intergrity, who was exceedingly conscientious in the discharge of his duties, both as politician and as a journalist.
