AUCKLAND COURT

(Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, June 26. At the Police Court a negro named Archie Walter Taylor, alias James Arthur Pollard, aged 35, at present serving five years’ imprisonment for theft*, was charged with bigamy. It was alleged he married Alice May Spry at Collingwood, Melbourne, on October 7, 1912, and at Wellington on January 21, 1919, he went through a form of marriage with Annie Elizabeth Mitchell. Accused pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial.

Augustus Gordon Roose, storekeeper, formerly of Dargaville, was committed for trial on two charges of absconding after the presentation of a bankruptcy petition, and tw'O of concealment of property. Accused pleaded not guilty.
