GOVERNMENT AGAIN DEFEATED.
LONDON, June 25. The novelty attaching to the Government defeats in the House of Commons is somewhat wearing off. For the sixth time the Ministry received a set back when an amendment on the Traffic Bill was carried by 195 to 168, Conservatives and Liberals combining in the majority. The amendment pressed the Transport Ministry to adopt a certain arrangement for submitting regulations to Parliament, which the Minister objected would hamper and hide the Department’s work. The defeat is regarded as unimportant.
