NO ELECTION LIKELY REVOLT MAY BE STRONGER. VIEWS OF MR. GIRLING. Tn the course of an interview with a representative of the Marlborough Express, Mr. W. J. Girling. M.P.. who has just returned to Blenheim from a visit to the North Island, said that after conversing with a number of members, including several Ministers, he did not think the coming session would show much alteration in the voting on no-confidenee motions, as compared with the divisions of last session. In fact, he said, he believed that the Government would be strengthened, if anything, by at least one extra vote.

Touching on the Liberal-Labour platform campaign at present being carried out. Mr. Girling expressed the view that the Liberals had adduced very little in support of their claims that the Reform Government had failed in its duty to the people. The few minor charges which had bee n made he said, could be easily replied to and would doubtless be dealt wit*h by various members of the party during the Address-in-Reply debate nt the opening of the coming session.

Mr. Girling added that he found matters political in Wellington very quiet, no topic of special interest being before Cabinet, except, of course, the question of the Railway Commission.
