OVER 400 ARRIVING BY ATHENIO,
The Atlicnic which is due to arrive at Wellington to day from London and Southampton, via Panama, has on board 412 British immigrants. They arc bound for the various ports as follow (the figures for men being mentioned first, then those for women and children): Auckland. 40, 48, 73—total 161; Napier, 5,3, 0 —8; New Plymouth, 4,1, I—6; Wanganui, 2,1, 4—7; Wellington, 19, 49, 20—88; Westport, 6,3, 11—20; Grcyniouth, 1,3, 3 —7; Lyttelton, 12, 15, 28—55; Timaru, 4,0, o—4; Oamaru, 1,1, I—3;1 —3; Dunedin, 15, 11, 25—51; Bluff, 2,0, o—2. Totals: Men 11, women 135, and children 166. Included in the party are 39 domestics, under Matron Richards.
