AN UNUSUAL CASE

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 9. An unusual point formed the basis of an action commenced at the Supreme Court to-day. The questions raised related to the rights of certain residents of Muritai to hold a title of land, part of which had been formed by accretion from the sea. It was contended by the Eastbourne Borough Council, the plaintiffs, that origin;,ily the land had been dedicated as a road, and that it was therefore vested in the borough. Any such dedication was denied by defendants, who contended that the land was vested in them, their predecessors in the title. Tbe rase is proceeding.
