WOMEN’S CHRISTIAN TEMPERANCE UNION. rpHE Central Women’s Christian TernA peranee Union will hold a District Convention to-night and tomorrow night, 10th and 11th inst., when they invite all people interested to attend. To-night (Tuesday),, in Trinity Schoolroom at 7.30, a meeting will be held in order to welcome to our town the delegates from visiting District Unions and Social Temperance Societies. The speaker of the evening is Mrs Perryman. To-morrow (Wednesday), the business discussions will commence at 9.30 a.m. and 1.15 p.m. respectively, and will be presided over by our District President, Mrs Duxfield. Wednesday evening a Temperance Rally will be held in Wanganui East Methodist Schoolroom, to commence at 7.30. Mrs Perryman and Mr M. Murray will be the speakers.
