WAVteBLEY STOCK SALE. Messrs Freteman R. Jackson and Co. Ltd. report asv follows: At our Waverley sale on Fri\(ay last only a small yarding of both \heep and cattle was penned. Sheep so Id fairly well, whilst cattle were on a riar with previous soies. I Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having held a most successful sale at Marton yards on the sth inst. We yarded 2700 sheep, mainly comprised of lambs, which met with a ready sale at slightly advanced prices. There was also a good yarding of breeding ewes and empty ewes which sold at late rates. Pigs sold well and cattle sold at late rates, practically the whole of the yarding changing hands under the hammer. We quote:— Sheep.—Mixed lambs 22/- to 25/5; wether lambs 18/6 to 23/6; medium lambs, 14/6 to 16/5; b.f. lambs 15/1 to 20/-; cull lambs 12/10 to 14/4; ewes r.w. S.D. rams 24/- to 26/6; ewes r.w. Messrs Abraham and Williams Ltd., report:

On 4th inst., we held a clearing sale on accout of Mr. R. W. Southee, Kiwitea. The cows were a very nice lot of grade Jerseys in fair condition and calving August and September. There was a small attendance, but prices realised were satisfactory, the whole herd averaging £.lO 9s 6d. Wo quote:—• Best cows £l5, £l5 ss. £l6, £2O; good cows, £6, £B, £9. £lO, £lO 10s, £ll, £ll ss, £l2 10s, £l3, £l3 10s, £l4; springing heifers, £B, £lO, £lO 15. £l4, £l5.

Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd. report having held a clearance sale of dairy stock on account of Mr. D. Weston, at Mangaonoho on the 4th inst. Although the attendance w r a.s not large we quitted the whole of the cows, heifers, and implements. We quote: Cows, September calvers, £ 4 to £8 ss; unsound cows, £2 5s to £3 15s; Jersey heifers, £4 10s to £6; Holstein heifers, £5 15s to £6 10s; separator. £5 18s; d.f. plough, £lO, disc harrows, £6. Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report qn stock sales for week ending June 7 as follows: At Bulls on Monday we had a good yarding of sheep, principally lames, which were in keen demand, and sold readily. A small yarding of cattle and pigs sold at late rates. Quotations: — Light fat 2-tooths, 28s 9d; medium ewe lambs, 235, 19s 3d; m.s.lambs, 23s lOd; wether lambs, 18s, 20s 3d, 20s Id, 21s 6d; small b.f. lambs, 15s; cull lambs, Ils 2d, Ils 7d; porkers, 275; slips, 16s 6d; light fat cows, £2 Bs, £3 ss, £3 7s 6d; store cows, £1 to 30s.

On Wednesday, at Glen Oroua, we held a clearing sale of 50 dairy cows on account of Mr W. Osborne, which was well attended. The cows were Jersey and Jersey cross, and in good condition. There was fair competition throughout, prices ranging from £2 10s to £l5, with ar. average of £8 8s; 13 heifers (spring calvers), sold from £3 8s to £6. The pigs were in good demand, low condition sows to farrow, bringing £4 ss; boar, 12s 6d; 18 slips, 14s 6d.to 255; 2-eow “Ridd” milking plant, £54; Alfa Laval separator, £l6; milk cans, 255. At Feilding on Friday we had a fair entry of both sheep and cattle. Fat sheep were of medium quality and sold well. Hoggets were in very keen demand, and prices were again in advance of last week’s quotes. Breeding ewec, of which some good pens were yarded, sold at late rates. There was a good yarding of fat, cattle, chiefly bullocks of fair quality, which were in poor demand, the bulk being passed in at auction. Dairy stock were dull of sale and prices low. N.Z. LOAN AND M.A. CO., LTD. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Co., Ltd. (Palmerston North), report on sales held during the past week:—• At our Rangiotu sale on Monday we had a small entry. Prices realised were in favdur of purchasers . Quotations:—Fat cows, £3, £3 10s. £3 14.?. £4 18s; forward cows, 38s, 445, 50s, to 565; store cows, 20s to 28s; weaner heifers, 16s to 21s; springing cow’s, £7; dairy cows, £3 to £3 10s. At our Palmerston North sale on Thursday we had an average entry of both sheep and cattle, and a good sale resulted.
