Chiffon velvet in exquisite colours i» a favourite in London alike for afternoon and evening gowns, tea frocka, and evening coats. Furs of every sort are lavishly used for trimming. Crepe de chine, taffetas, and soft satin are worn at dance teas.—-“ Coming Fashions.’*

Much has been acomplished in shoes. To.day slippers are interesting;, artistic and beautiful. Coloured, brown or black velvet slippers to match the gown, have been launched by leaders in shoes. These velvets, either plain or printed, often are adorned ’Yith silver or gold kid, this trimming sometimes taking the form of mercury wings, or it may be a mere binding. Silver and gold brocade still g’.eam for evening wear, sometimes wi h gold or silver kid heels and strappings. Strap opera, or sandal fashions are in full swing. The opera pump which is gaining rapid grounu in a rounded toe is often charmingly ornamented at the vamp with a steel fringe buckle or a narrow enamelled trimming.
