THE COMING SESSION
TWO PRIVATE BILL PETITIONS. The near approach of the commencement of the second session of the twenty-first Parliament of New Zea land is indicated by the notification, posted in Parliament Buildings, that petitions praying for leave to introduce two private bills havo been presented at the office of the examiner of the standing orders on private bills (Mr. A. F. Lowe, Clerk of the Legis lative Council). The first of these bills is entitled “An Act to Incorporate the Commit tee of Management of the Rhodes Memorial Convalescent Home”; and the second “An Act to empower the Roman Cafholic Bishop of the Diocese of Auckland to sell, exchange; mort gage, and lease hereditaments vested in hint, and to exercise certain other powers.”
