POLITICAL
(Per Press Associa'.icn.) PUKEHOKE, June 7.
Mr T. M. Wilford addressed upwards of 200 people in the Premier Hall last evening, the Mayor (Mr John Routly) presiding. Mr Wilford’s speech was on similar lines to that delivered at Auckland. At the close a vote of thanks and confidence in Mr Wilford and his party as fit and proper people to govern the country was carried by a small majority, as against an amendment of thanks to Mr Wilford and continued and undiminished confidence in the Massey Administration. A large number did not vote. The meeting closed with cheers for the Liberals and countercheers for Mr Massey.
